1. Information we collect

Information you provide:

• Account information: your email address, and any name or profile details you choose to add, and your password (stored in hashed form).
• Aquarium data: the tanks you create, water types and setups, the parameter readings you log, livestock and plant entries, dosing and consumption entries, tasks, and notes.
• Photos: any tank or livestock photos you upload.
• Support communications: the contents of messages you send us.

Payment information: When you subscribe, payment is handled by our third-party payment processor. We receive limited information such as subscription status and the last four digits or card brand, but we do not collect or store your full payment card number.

Information collected automatically:

• Usage data: how you interact with the Service, features used, and actions taken.
• Device and log data: device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, and diagnostic or crash data.
• Website data: standard server logs and cookies or similar technologies on neritareef.com.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

• provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including Cycle Coach, trends, insights, and alerts;
• create and manage your account and authenticate you;
• process subscriptions, trials, billing, and refunds;
• respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the Service;
• improve, troubleshoot, and develop new features;
• maintain the security and integrity of the Service and prevent abuse; and
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

• Service providers (processors): companies that help us run the Service, such as our application hosting and backend platform, our payment processor, analytics providers, and email or notification providers. They may process your information only to provide services to us.
• Legal and safety: when we believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of users, the public, or us.
• Business transfers: if the Service or its assets are acquired, merged, or sold, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.

4. Your choices and rights

You can access and update much of your information from within the app, and you can export your readings and livestock data using the export features in Settings. You can delete your account by contacting us at neritareef@gmail.com.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Residents of California (under the CCPA/CPRA) and individuals in the EU, UK, or EEA (under the GDPR) have these and related rights, including the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising them. We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise any right, email neritareef@gmail.com; we will verify and respond as required by law.

If you are in the EU, UK, or EEA, our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the Service), your consent (where requested), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service), and compliance with legal obligations.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and afterward only as needed to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact neritareef@gmail.com and we will delete it.

8. International users

We operate the Service from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

9. Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party websites or services we do not control. This Policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices.
